Dr. Farhim Jameel (LK)
Dr. Farhim Jameel is a highly respected dental surgeon with over three decades of clinical experience and a distinguished career in aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry. He earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 1989 from Liaquat Medical College, known as Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences in Pakistan.
Upon returning to Sri Lanka, Dr. Jameel served in the Health Department at Ratnapura General Hospital and the Sri Lanka Air Force, before transitioning to full-time private practice. In 1997, he was awarded the Diploma in General Dental Practice (DGDP) by the University of Colombo and a Member of the College of General Dental Practitioners of Sri Lanka in 2000.
Committed to continuous professional development, Dr. Jameel pursued advanced clinical training internationally. He completed a two-year orthodontic program with Progressive Orthodontic Seminars (POS), USA, earning a Certificate in Orthodontics in 2002. The following year, he received a Certificate in Advanced Study in Aesthetic Dentistry from the State University of New York (SUNY), Buffalo, USA.
A pioneer in the field of cosmetic dentistry in Sri Lanka, Dr. Jameel is the Founder Secretary and Past President (2007/2008) of the Sri Lanka Academy of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry (SLAACD). In 2008, he was appointed Country Chairman for the European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry. As a certified clinical trainer in Minimally Invasive Cosmetic Dentistry (MiCD) Dr. Jameel continues to contribute meaningfully to dental education, clinical excellence, and the advancement of aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry in Sri Lanka and beyond.
