About The Event

Restoration of Class IV using the ‘Naturomimetic “ONE” Layer’ protocol

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the surface anatomy and texture of the central single incisor
  • Build up a central incisor using composite resins
  • Natural stratification technique to creating a bio-aesthetic Class IV restoration
  • Combining opaque and body dentine shades with enamel shades for a life-like result
  • Fast & predictable finishing and polishing techniques

Hands-On Synopsis

Direct resin reconstruction of the severely compromised anterior dentition is one of the more difficult challenges of clinical dentistry. The anterior dentition can present in many different shades, opacity and translucency. In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to restore a fractured central incisor on aesthetic dental model that mimics the anatomy of natural teeth. They will not only learn the “ONE” layers protocol using Beautifil direct resin composite but will have the opportunity to contour and finish the restoration to a life-like finish.  At the end of the session they should have a greater appreciation of how to blend the different resins to achieve an aesthetic outcome and understand a simplified method of finishing a direct anterior restoration.
