Smile Rejuvenation with Dental Resins

Synopsis

Composite resin systems have continued to evolve with better filler technology and newer polymers. A lot of interest has also been generated with the third generation of injectable resins.

In this presentation Dr Ronnie Yap will be sharing how he uses the various resin systems in his practice when working on patients in the aesthetics zone. The lecture will give an update on some of the recent resin systems, layering techniques as well as shade selection techniques for composite resin. In addition, he will explain how he utilises resins for smile mock up to increase patient case acceptance, long-term provisionals for full mouth reconstructions and application of injectable and flowable resins in the closing of black triangle spaces at the gingiva region.

Speaker profile

Dr Ronnie YAP is currently the President of the Asian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and past President of the Aesthetic Dentistry Society of Singapore. He is also adjunct senior lecturer in the restorative dentistry department of the National University of Singapore. Dr Ronnie is also a partner  in a private group dental practice where half his time is spent on clear orthodontic aligner therapy for adult patients and the other half on aesthetic and restorative dentistry. He has been an Invisalign Platinum Elite Provider since 2011 and is also founder of the Aesthetic and Digital Dentistry Academy which provides training courses for dentist with live patient courses, hands-on and demonstrations. He is an Instructor with the MiCD (Minimally Invasive Cosmetic Dentistry) Academy and has lectured extensively in Asia on the topic of aesthetic dentistry and has a keen interest in nutrition and sports.
