About The Event

Pre- Congress Workshop Title

MiCD APPROACH TO PREDICTABLE NATUROMIMETIC CLASS IV RESTORATIONS

Synopsis

Class IV restorations are commonly encountered in clinical practice and often challenging for a clinician. To provide natural, life-like appearance to a  fractured tooth requires both skill and understading of the aesethtic capabilities of the restorative material. “MiCD (Minimally Invasive Cosmetic Dentistry) is a holistic treatment approach that integrates minimally invasive treatment techniques with aesthetic dentistry to enhance the smile while taking into consideration the psychology, health, function and aesthetics of the patient." By understading and adopting the MiCD treatment protocol and naturomimetic layering technique, you will be able to achieve predictable outcomes  for challenging restorations in the anterior aesthetic zone.

In this MiCD workshop, participants will have the opportunity to

- restore a fractured central incisor that mimics the natural anatomy and shade.

- understand shade taking and color mapping with the help of dental photography

- learn the “ONE” layering technique with the Beautifil range of bioactive composite resins

- use a step by step finishing and polishing protocol to achieve a high gloss surface with natural tooth lustre.

At the end of the workshop participants should have a greater appreciation on how to blend composites resins and the importance of using a predictable finishing and polishing protocol to achieve desired aesthetic outcomes.
